Veritude is looking to hire a Data Analyst at Fidelity Investments, located in Westlake, TX.

This Data Analyst, Procurement Analytics, is responsible for data analytics and reporting supporting one or more categories of supplier spend within procurement. The person will have a strategic mindset and work with business partners to maximize Fidelity’s position to regularly negotiate for the right products, at the right price and terms for the firm.  The individual will have a strategic mindset and strong communications skills as they partner with internal stakeholders, Procurement leaders, and business partners to achieve scale and efficiency for the firm.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree; ideally in a business, finance, analytics or supply chain discipline
  • MBA a plus
  • Demonstrated success in a complex decision support function
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills
  • Ability to understand, craft, and communicate complex concepts to a broad set of audiences
  • Experience developing interactive dashboards and data storytelling leveraging data visualization tools, techniques and concepts. Experience with OBI and/or Tableau preferred
  • 3+ years of highly-analytical decision support experience
  • Advanced use of Excel, including pivot tables, macros, think-cell, Solver and Analysis Tools
  • Proficiency with SQL, SQL datamining tools and relational database design
  • Strong attention to detail, collaborative and ability to multi-task

The Purpose of Your Role

The Procurement Analyst will provide analytical and research support within Fidelity’s Procurement organization in support of business planning, strategic sourcing initiatives, reporting, and other key procurement initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for detailed analytics, decision support analysis, and development of reports, presentations and documentation for a wide and varied range of audiences.

As the Analyst, you will independently make decisions on inputs, interpretations, and information strategies in support of the recommendations and analysis being developed. You will independently identify resources, validate information, identify scenarios, develop data and market interpretations, and provide summary and comprehensive perspective to the evaluation process. The Analyst will need to be self-driven and proactive in achieving the objectives of the role and will need to independently bring value adding input into the commodity strategy planning and execution process.
