Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Merrimack, NH.

Overview: 

The Business Analyst is part of the Fidelity Health Care Group team responsible for partnering with technology and product to develop and implement new features.   

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work in a Scrum Agile environment to deliver software (both web and back-end).
  • Lead and conduct business analyses in order to formulate and make recommendations.
  • Identify and define solutions to business problems, through creation and documentation of systems and process specifications.
  • Create, document, and manage scrum team backlog (write user stories / acceptance criteria, support prioritization, refinement, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, development teams, external vendors, and QA on plans, project management, requirements, design, testing, and implementation of solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance on overall solution testing.
  • Lead and coordinate Business Acceptance Testing, which includes partnering with stakeholders to identify business test scenarios, writing test detailed cases, creating test data, assisting business users with as well as performing test execution, triaging and managing defects to resolution, and reporting on overall execution results.
  • Support and/or lead deployment, business readiness, and solution enablement, e.g., user procedure writing, creation and delivery of solution training, and overall communication.
  • Handle multiple initiatives and business analysis tasks at the same time.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years Business Analyst experience, ideally working in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Fidelity business with experience in health and benefits administration a plus, but not required.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Analytical, technical, and problem-solving,skills are a key strength
  • Verbal / written communication and presentation skills are a key expectation; candidate is expected to lead, facilitate, and drive individuals and group meetings.
  • Highly organized and have a strong ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
  • Understand the importance of being detail oriented complemented by a high degree of accuracy
  • Have a keen ability to build and influence teams and relationships
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently
  • Have good business judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality of all data
  • Attention to detail and appreciation for need to consistently generate high quality, highly sensitive output is a priority in your daily work
