Job Description

We are looking for a (UX & Marketing) Content Strategist at Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Durham, NC. 

Summary:

This is not your run-of-the-mill financial firm gig. This group is creating some of the most forward-thinking, research-driven, innovative solutions under the Fidelity name. They need strong wordsmiths, savvy storytellers, and curious problem solvers to help them tackle projects on subjects ranging from the independent worker economy to solving the student loan debt crisis. This group uses human-centered design to create visionary products and services that improve people’s financial lives.

This role requires extensive expertise managing and creating both UX and marketing content within an established brand, balanced by a desire to break new ground and challenge the status quo. The Content Strategist is responsible for producing and maintaining content in support of an internal startup.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a fast-moving, multifunctional team creating a new product
  • Ensure that content is engaging, relevant and on-brand
  • Provide insight to designers, product managers, developers, and marketers
  • Distill information to craft compelling, cohesive stories
  • Navigate complex legal reviews
  • Create UX, marketing and training materials for partners and customers

Experience/Education

  • B.A. or B.S. required, Master’s in Communications, Education, English, Journalism, or equivalent preferred
  • 8-10+ years content experience, including relevant background in financial services
  • Prior experience in content strategy, publishing, copywriting, journalism, education/training, public relations, or social media
  • Experience with innovation methods such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, or Google Design Sprints a plus
