Veritude is looking for an experienced Data Warehouse/ETL Support engineer with a passion for data and databases, who enjoys production issue analysis and resolution and wants to be part of a collaborative team environment. 

The Digital and Advanced Analytics Platform group within Fidelity’s Personal Investing (PI) organization is seeking an ETL Support Engineer. In this role you will spend roughly 50% of your time on production support and 50% working with your team on projects to optimize and stabilizing the Analytics Platform.  You will be given the opportunity to extend your skills to include Hadoop and MPP databases (specifically Greenplum). This role will evolve over time as the application transitions from ‘on premise’ to a cloud based system. There is the potential to be involved in the refactoring effort being done as part of the migration to the cloud.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
  • Proven experience Supporting or Developing in Data Warehouses
  • Deep understanding of Dimensional Modelling concepts
  • Extensive experience in relational databases especially Oracle
  • Proven experience developing, debugging and tuning complex SQL statements, PL/SQL packages & procedures
  • Demonstrated Experience writing and executing UNIX shell scripts
  • Extensive experience with ETL technologies (Informatica or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience with a Batch Scheduling tool (ControlM or Autosys)
  • Experience with Big Data Processing technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc. is a plus
  • Experience with MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) database like Greenplum is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker) is a plus
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus
  • Any experience in developing data applications in Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
