Job Description

Veritude is hiring for a temporary HR Manager on behalf of our client, Geode Capital Management. This position will be based in Boston, MA.

Under the direction of the Head of Human Resources, the HR Manager will assist with establishing and overseeing all HR functions and providing HR support to approximately 90 employees based in Boston.  The scope of role will include benefits administration, payroll administration, HRIS reporting, onboarding, policies and procedures oversight, recruitment and various HR and office management functions and projects.   This is a temporary position with a term of approximately four months.


  • Perform benefit administration to include addition and removal of employees, review and process invoices for payment and communicate benefit information to employees. Liaison with benefits broker and vendors as needed.

  • Assist with accurate processing of payroll data such as new hires, reimbursements, and earnings and deductions

  • Facilitate complete on-boarding and off-boarding processes including backgrounds, technology requests and software account creation

  • Maintain all HR systems and documentation in accordance with company requirements and ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations

  • Consult with Head of HR, Legal team and/or outside counsel to ensure accuracy and compliance on all policies and procedures relating to Human Resources and benefit programs

  • Assist with talent acquisition as needed including visa support for foreign nationals

  • Implement, execute and monitor quarterly performance evaluation program

  • Review vendor invoices monthly for accuracy and submit for payment

  • Provide administrative support to Head of HR with tasks such as calendar management, expense reporting and account renewals

  • Oversee office management with the Office Coordinator

  • Assist Head of HR with other ad-hoc tasks as needed including office Real Estate projects

Experience/Skills Required:  

  • 5-7 years of Human Resources experience; experience working as a generalist within the HR/Payroll/Benefits industry preferred.

  • Strong technical skills including Payroll systems, HRIS systems and Microsoft office product suite

  • Experience with firm wide recruiting

  • In-depth understanding of government rules and regulations

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to maintain personal and confidential information

  • Strong client service skills

  • Solid project management skills and experience

  • Creative problem solver

  • Experience in Financial Services industry preferred

  • Strong time management and personal organization capability
