Veritude is hiring an Investment Operations Representative to work in Westlake, Texas at Fidelity Investments.

The Reconciliation Services group is responsible for the daily reconciliation of security positions, transfer agent bank accounts and Interest related to mutual fund securities settlements and shareholder activity. The group is also responsible for supporting monthly audits. Project participation, weekly and monthly reporting to upper management are also required. The  Analyst’s primary role is to support the daily functions of the group as defined below. These functions are completed through various systematic, written, and verbal interactions with the Fund Accounting Teams, TAAC, CMS, Agent Banks, Custodian Banks and other Custody groups. Systems include the Mainframe, AIS, AS400, Invest One, FOCAS, BRPW and various vendor  packages.

The Investment Operations Representative II is responsible for the daily tasks associated with reconciliation, reporting, exception research and resolution along with other ad-hoc responsibilities. May serve as a primary contact for internal and external business partners on some routine operational issues. Ensure the integrity of the firms books records by balancing various daily reconciliations and resolution. Reconcile routine/basic activity and successfully research and resolve discrepancies uncovered during the reconciliation process.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely reconciliation and exception resolution of routine accounts, securities, positions, payables/receivables etc. Participate in departmental projects
  • Assist with maintenance of departmental procedures
  • Accountable for accurate and timely reconciliations and exception resolution, along with successfully researching discrepancies

Education and Experience

  • 0-2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
  • Strong skills in various PC software applications to include Microsoft, Access, Excel, Word, Power point and Brio

Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of reconciliations and industry regulations
  • Basic knowledge of processes, systems, and tools used by the teams to perform reconciliations
  • Able to effectively research discrepancies
  • Applies basic skill to routine work
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to recognize high risk items and escalate those items or seek assistance to minimize loss to either the shareholder and or/Fidelity
