Job Description

Veritude is hiring a .Net Developer to work in Durham, NC at Fidelity Investments.

We deliver cutting-edge technology solutions across complex, multi-system platforms that support the distribution of the Managed Account products. Lead the design, development and maintenance of desktop and web applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the design, development, maintenance and troubleshooting of desktop and web-based applications that provide capabilities to Sales and Service representatives.
  • Determine development approaches and strategies to ensure conformance to established Fidelity standards. 
  • Improve technical efficiency of the products and tools that are built and maintained per business requirements.
  • Work with product architects and senior development resources across the team, as well as other technical and business stakeholders across the organization to develop technology solutions in a fast paced Agile environment.
  • Responsible and accountable for continuous integration, code quality and ensuring code review processes are followed.
  • Support product release activities, participate in product installation and post-installation activities and work with production staff and business staff to resolve production issues.
  • Communicate status, issues and risks to stakeholders.
  • Actively collaborate with other technical leaders on the team to develop, deploy and monitor team-wide project and technical standards and best practices.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Networking, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years total in writing .NET and C#  according to Infragistics frameworks 
  • 3+ years of experience in build, trading management systems, and external application in foreign exchange, C++, TLM (Transaction Lifecycle Management).
  • Good understanding of Java and TwoFour trading systems.
  • Expertise in software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the fast paced AGILE teams
  • Knowledge in Foreign Exchange is nice to have
