The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelors or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in procurement / vendor contract negotiations and administration
  • Experience in the Software Category (licensing terms & negotiations)  preferred
  • Exceptional Project Management skills

The Purpose of Your Role

The Fidelity Procurement Team - Albuquerque is a key component of the corporate Procurement function based in Westlake, Texas. The Albuquerque team provides tactical procurement support and works closely with their respective counterparts in Westlake and around the globe.

The Skills You Bring

  • In collaboration with Category Managers, you will interact with a broad array of business unit stakeholders, understand their business needs and provide necessary Competitive Sourcing Event support in accordance with Fidelity’s standard processes.
  • You will work on supplier negotiations with incumbent vendors and assist the business in on-boarding new vendors including completing risk assessments, etc.
  • You will provide support to business units to understand and interpret commercial contractual terms and conditions.
  • You understand the key elements of the Procurement strategy and how they influence sourcing event structure and selection.
  • You will execute functional responsibilities in a manner that strengthens business partner and supplier relationships.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of MS office (Excel / Word and PowerPoint).
  • You have experience in sourcing/category management activities including serving as a category manager in a large organization preferred
  • You will build relationships and people management skills.
  • You have strong written, oral and presentation skills.
  • You have a proven ability to provide excellent Customer Service

  • Leading the sourcing, negotiations, contracting and procurement process across different Fidelity business units
  • Engaging and regularly collaborate with various members of cyber security, risk, legal, finance before and during a negotiation. 
  • Working to achieve best-in-class pricing with suppliers on negotiations 
    Fostering relationships with suppliers to achieve better pricing and quality of services

The primary areas supported are Procurement Operations and Category Management.  Procurement Operations is composed of three areas – Purchasing, Contracting and Global Operations. Category Management is composed of Information Technology (hardware, software, telecommunications, etc.), Professional Services (IT/non IT staff augmentation, consulting, legal, etc.) and Corporate Services (marketing communications, real estate, administration, logistics, travel etc.).
