Veritude is hiring for a Product Owner at Fidelity Investments in Durham, NC

This is a Product Owner role as follows:

Sr. Product Owner – SPS Product Development As part of the Product Development organization, the Product Owner (PO) is responsible for delivering value to Stock Plan Services customers by supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of high quality products and solutions as per Product strategy, client commitments and organizational goals.

The Expertise we’re Looking For

• 5+ years of related business analysis and requirements management experience in financial services, systems development, product development, and/or project/product management

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 3-5 years of direct Agile/Scrum methodology experience

• Experience in Six Sigma disciplines would be a plus

The Purpose of Your Role

The PO represents the customer, continuously engaging with stakeholders to ensure teams are building the right product to meet customer needs and communicating status. The PO creates and maintains the product backlog of work, prioritizing and sequencing work according to business value or return on investment.

• Excellent command of verbal and written communication for all levels of stakeholders

• Highly organized with ability to meet internal deadlines

• Strong understanding of Kanban/Scrum Methodology

• Ability to guide the team on Agile/Scrum best practices and values

• Knowledge of customer experience and user experience design principles would be a plus

The Value You Deliver

• Creating drafts of epics and stories to seed product backlog in order to begin the grooming process.

• Providing elaboration on epics, themes, and features in order to define description and acceptance criteria throughout the process of story backlog grooming.

• Convey vision and goals at the beginning of every release and sprint.

• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning meetings, demos and retrospectives.

• Inspect the product progress at the end of sprints with the authority to accept or reject work done.

• Mitigate impediments that may impact successful team completion of release/sprint goals.

• Communicate status to stakeholders and is the voice of the team.
