Job Description

We are looking for Scrum Master/Project Manager at Fidelity Investments.  This position is based in Merrimack, NH.


This role will focus on the support of an Agile development team for the NetBenefits suite of products, specifically for the Healthcare applications. Tasks include Sprint planning, Release planning, backlog refinement and overall coordination of the development activities. Partnership with our colleagues is key to the success of this role as we work with various members of the organization to identify, schedule, test and launch each deliverable. Ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and possess strong organizational skills will be required to meet the expectations of this initiative.

We work closely with various Fidelity business and systems partners to analyze requirements, design, build and implement solutions that meet or exceed the needs of our clients and their employees.  This Scrum Master / Project Manager will be involved in all stages of the projects at a hands-on level as well as management of the people and projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint-close, etc.
  • Provides routine and consistent status reporting to senior management and business sponsors
  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and makes project assignments
  • Works directly with the user community for project definition and can articulate business information to the group
  • Adheres to financial guidelines including project budgets, billing, etc.
  • Builds partnership relationships within and across the systems and business units
  • Initiates discussions with users or external groups to define projects and resolve issues
  • Responsible for understanding and handling change management impacts

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience managing complex development projects

Skills and Knowledge

  • In depth understanding and experience with software development methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and partnership skills
  • Strong technical background is desirable
  • Must possess the ability to combine functional, technical, and project management expertise
  • Flexible attitude that enables the individual to deal comfortably with changing priorities
