Veritude is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for Fidelity Investments, located in Westlake, TX

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • 5-8+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor degree preferred, major in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Software programing specializing in infrastructure environment, scripting as well as API ( e.g. RESTFUL)
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP strongly preferred

The Purpose of Your Role

The Global Network Engineering (GNE) engineer within Global Network Services (GNS) will be responsible for providing Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions for Fidelity's International Core (Tier 0), Core network backbone (Tier 1), Regional connectivity (Tier 2) in support of Fidelity Investments network.  This includes 3rd level operational support and participation in an on-call rotation.  Typical duties include engineering, implementing and troubleshooting LAN/WAN/WLAN networks that traverse multiple platforms to include supporting engineering groups on projects. 

The Skills You Bring

  • Experience with TCP/IP, including knowledge of common-service applications
  • Packet capture and traffic analysis to identify root cause
  • Experience with HPE/Aruba, Cisco routing and switching
  • Network Engineering and Troubleshooting skills
    • Routed/Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, VPNs
    • Switched Protocols: PVST, RPVST, MST, VxLAN
    • WLAN/LAN/WAN engineering and implementation
  • Experience with ITIL and Project Management
  • Experience presenting to senior team members
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Development/Automation, coding experiences a plus, e.g. Ansible, Chef, Github/Stash
  • Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, Java script, Perl, Expect, etc.
  • Data model language, e.g. YANG, YAML, XML/JSON
  • DevOps pipeline methodology
  • Experience with 802.1x configuration and troubleshooting
    • Experience with 802.1x switch configuration and tuning for Cisco and HPE switch platforms
    • Experience with multi-vendor Supplicant configurations
  • Amazon AWS
    • Experience with Direct Connect configuration and setup
    • Experience with VPC definition, configuration, and peering
  • Microsoft Azure/O365
    • Experience with ExpressRoute configuration and setup (Azure private, Azure public, Microsoft peering)
    • Experience with networking components related to Office 365 services
    • Azure Private vNet definition, configuration, and peering
