Job Description

We are looking for a Systems Analyst to join our project team.  This position is based in Merrimack, NH.

Put your analysis skills to work in delivering a new Unified Experience for the Fidelity Benefits Marketplace. You will be part of an engineering team responsible for developing and supporting the development and integration of multiple systems into a new user experience for internal and external customers. You will work with our business partners, development teams, and quality assurance teams to deliver on a variety of our web based development efforts.  This will entail working with teams across multiple geographic sites.

The Fidelity Workplace Solutions Technology group, supporting the Fidelity Benefits Marketplace (FBM) business is responsible for the development of FBM applications and customer facing web portals.  Your role will be the primary analyst for a full stack development team based in both the U.S. and India.

Position Overview/Responsibilities

  • BA/BS (technology related discipline is a plus) or equivalent work experience is required
  • 5+ years analysis experience
  • Agile methodology project delivery; SCRUM highly desired
  • Strong understanding of Web application architecture;
  • Ability to extract, document and transpose business requirements into user stories and system designs
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with business and technology partners to author high quality systems requirements
  • Specific experience with front-end/web based software development projects including integration with back-end data providers
  • Effectively define and speak to the business and technical aspects of a project
  • Help manage project scope and risks; resolve issues or escalate as required
  • Strong judgment, issues management and problem analysis and resolution techniques
  • Coordinate with offshore project resources
  • Ability to effectively multi-task across a variety of tasks and responsibilities
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, communication and influence

Skills and Knowledge

  • You have successfully demonstrated strong customer relationship management skills with at least 5+ years of Business/Customer facing assignments.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle including change management
  • Work well in a collaborative team environment as well as independently

  • Your knowledge of and strong ability to implement the strategies and techniques used to ensure that customer needs are addressed in solution design that result in a positive experience with the organization and its products and services at every touch point.
  • Your ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address operation/process issues/improvements to accomplish business objectives.
  • You will assist the project manager and development lead with estimation duties

  • Working with business and technology partners to define, interpret, and clarify scope of opportunities and issues in terms of business and system requirements and processes
  • Owning the analysis strategy and creation and management of documentation to support agile feature delivery and ongoing platform maintenance
  • Developing user stories, use cases and current and proposed business and systems process flows
  • Collaborating with other team members to recommend and create comprehensive and cohesive solution approaches
  • Managing issues and having the ability to drive to closure
  • Participate in story point sizing/effort estimation for feature development
  • Monitoring documentation standards and best practices
  • Daily activities will involve meeting with business and technology partners to work through functional designs, working with partners to track and resolve issues and risks, keeping project leadership up to date on progress, assisting project managers to plan work, and meeting with other analysts and business resources to clarify requirements.
  • Primary role is business and technical liaison between FBM and WS Systems Development teams
  • Eliciting, interpreting, and communicating customer requests from multiple perspectives across projects. Presenting implications and recommendations with a strategic perspective influencing project parameters and outcomes.
  • Communicating the project health, deliverables, and impacts to management.
