Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager at Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Cary, NC. 

Position Description

The Enterprise Cybersecurity Insider Threat team is looking for a Project Manager that will be the primary point of contact for our technology and business partners to drive implementation of new or enhanced cybersecurity controls.  He or she will participate in aligning the program roadmaps with current and future strategies while supporting the overall strategic portfolio management process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • A dynamic leader with a common sense approach to successfully lead and motivate a large, matrixed, and diverse technical team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and technical team members across the organization
  • Ability to utilize prior experience and strong knowledge of security vendors, industry products and best practices to influence team members, peers and senior management in development of effective cybersecurity controls
  • Able to understand the technology and software architectures to translate into business solutions
  • Superior skill and ability in multi-tasking with the ability to appropriately prioritize his or her own work as well as business requests
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, operations teams and other stakeholders to develop, manage, and achieve consensus on product strategy and roadmap
  • Project management skills are a key strength including:
  • Scope project requirements, define project timeline with published key milestones and where applicable, prepare budget
  • Manage relationships and facilitate governance processes
  • Organize, plan and execute the activities of projects to ensure effective delivery
  • Promote, leverage and support onboarding of key enterprise cybersecurity controls by maintaining regular communication with business units
  • Drive transparency of strategic investments and remediates risks related to budget of planned initiatives
  • Assists with development of budgetary recommendations to align with strategic priorities of Enterprise Cybersecurity

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS (technology related discipline is a plus)
  • 8+ years of technology project management experience with software development
  • Formal project life-cycle methodology experience (Agile)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing large, complex projects  
  • Proven track record in a risk and analytically oriented roles
  • Prior experience and understanding and awareness of cybersecurity controls
  • Experience in a variety of software development life cycle methodologies including Agile
  • Experience working in one or more of the technical disciplines (systems product management, project management, systems analysis or software development)
  • Experience working with complex product portfolios
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent management experience required
